The 3 Copies You Need to Have a True Backup

Most people don’t worry about backing up their data until it is lost.  You should always have three copies of your data to ensure you do not loose your important information.

3 Copies are the Following

  1. Nearline Backup – One should have a backup that is quick and easy to restore such as using a usb drive and using windows backup to back up files.
  2. Offsite Backup – You should always have an offsite backup.  You can use a service such as Carbonite to automatically backup your data to the cloud.  Carbonite is a great cheap service.  Having a offsite backup protects you from honorific problems such as fire or theft.
  3. Original Copy – Have the original copy on your computer.
